4. Risk Warning

Investing in Space Ventures Investors (SVI) is like investing in any business. SVI will buy-in to a range of an early-stage businesses, mid-sized businesses, and large enterprises.
The SVI strategy is to be an integral part of emerging space related businesses.
Many space companies have long-term business models that rely on research and development of new technology, raising additional funding, and may be subject to new and sometimes restrictive regulatory conditions.
If you choose to invest in SVI you must be aware of and accept these five important considerations:

4.1 Loss of Capital

SVI may buy-in to early-stage businesses and other businesses that fail, therefore it may be likely that the value of your investment in SVI may diminish. You should not invest in SVI if you feel any loss of investment will alter your standard of living.

4.2 Illiquidity

SVI operates with a long-term goal, there may not be a liquid secondary market for your shares, and you should assume that you will be unlikely to be able to sell your shares until and unless the business floats on a stock exchange or is bought by another company. Even when SVI is bought by another company or floats on a stock exchange, your investment may continue to be illiquid. If SVI is a successful business, a flotation or stock purchase may not occur for a number of years from the time you made your initial investment. If SVI shares can be sold on a secondary market, it may be difficult to find a buyer or seller. Additionally, investors should not assume that an early exit will be available because a secondary market exists.

4.3 Rarity of Dividends

SVI intends to pay dividend but may not be able to pay dividends. If you invest in SVI and there are no dividends or the dividends do not meet your standard, you are unlikely to see any return of capital or profit on your investment until you are able to sell your shares. This may be unlikely to occur for a many years after you have made your investment.

4.4 Dilution

Your investment in SVI may be subject to dilution. If the shareholders of SVI decide to raise additional capital at a later date, SVI will issue new shares to the new investors, and the percentage of SVI that you own may decline. New shares may have preferential rights to dividends, voting, and revenue. New shares may work to your disadvantage. Your investment in SVI may also be impacted by dilution as a result of the issuing of options (or similar rights to acquire shares) to SVI founders, employees, and providers of vital business services.

4.5 Diversification

If you choose to invest in SVI, it should be a small part of your own well-diversified portfolio. You should only invest only a small portion of your investible capital into SVI, the majority of your investible capital should be invested in safer assets.
